I was comissioned to design a kitchen cabinet for a beach house that fulfilled three functions: have a dining table, include storage for two water drums, and have a place for a wine cooler. When I designed this project, I paid close attention to both the aesthetic and the practical needs of the customer.
Sketched several possibilities for the cabinet, and then the customer chose the one he liked the most. then I drew up the blueprints for it, and a carpenter crafted it.
Started by measureing the objects that would be stored in the cabinet; a Wine fridge and two San Mateo water drums
The blueprints of the house were used to dimension the kitchen cabinet properly, following the proportions and aesthetics of the rest of the kitchen as much as possible
Started by exploring a modular design

Then played around with a one piece design
